Payments can be made securely directly through the site by major credit card or through a PayPal account. All transactions are tracked and reports are available through your account so you can monitor all activity on your platform.

Virtual Classroom Technology

Crystal Clear VOIP – Online instruction does not have to be conducted only by chat, GlobalScholar allows for direct verbal communication between student and tutor through the interactive whiteboard using VOIP technology. Simply plug-in a headset with microphone or use the computer’s internal microphone to establish clear voice communication similar to an in-person or telephone conversation. The best part is there is no cost for being able to experience this very personal connection on the whiteboard.

ShareDoc – Imagine a tutor being able to display professional diagrams or other images to emphasize the concepts within a lesson simply by uploading files directly onto the whiteboard space. Or, picture a student presenting the rough draft of their essay on the whiteboard and editing it in real-time with the tutor. GlobalScholar supports document sharing of all file types (PPT, Word, PDF, Excel, Images, etc.) and viewing directly on the whiteboard. Documents can be uploaded and accessed by anyone in the shared document library. Drag any of the educational materials from the library onto the whiteboard space for real-time editing and collaboration.

BrightLights – Every interactive session on the whiteboard is automatically recorded from the time the whiteboard opens until the session ends, and the recordings are saved under the student and tutor’s account for review. The audio, chat, and all work done during the session is recorded to shine a bright light on the student’s online interactions with their tutor, ensuring parents have the utmost visibility into their child’s learning experience, and provides an added level of security for all users. The student and tutor can view these recordings at any time to review material and discussion from past sessions.

Digital Content Library

GlobalScholar’s Digital Content Library (DCL) provides an online storage space for managing and distributing your company’s curriculum, assessments, and educational material to students and tutors. Any type of document can be uploaded into the DCL and assigned for use in specific courses or student learning plans. The Administrator has centralized control of the library and can make updates to curriculum and resources and those revised materials will be available to all tutors in real-time. The easy-to-use assessment wizard allow for assessments to be created and linked to national, state, or company standards.

With one set of login credentials, the students can utilize all services on your institution’s site and then flow easily into accessing online tutoring resources and services without knowing they ever left your site.

Availability Status Indicator - This integration service enables a tutor to login as “Available” for instant tutoring on the private label platform and have their status reflected on a customized section of your corporate or institution site. Now, students can be alerted when a tutor is available without having to login to their tutoring account. The availability status icon notifies students when a tutor is online and provides a quick click pathway to join that student with the available tutor to receive immediate help. Catching a student or parent’s attention and making your tutoring services easily accessible is a great way to encourage students to utilize your offerings.
