The goal of every Educator at every level is to improve student learning. GlobalScholar professional development offerings represent a game-changing approach to helping schools transition to digital-age learning. These online courses bring job-embedded, student-focused professional learning into the everyday classroom lives of teachers. Unlike many other professional development offerings, they are supported with coaching and mentoring in a way that builds capacity in every participating school and now professional development is integrated in everyday process. Each of our professional development programs incorporate what has been learned from 15 years of best practices, starting with online professional development funded by the National Science Foundation; integrating the research of Dr. Robert Marzano around standards-based learning and school reform; and extending to the National Education Technology Standards for Students, Teachers and Administrators from ISTE. Each initiative includes year-long support through coaching, mentorship, and collaboration within a Professional Learning Community. Each school and district continues to build on a shared vision, language and process as each new teacher is mentored into this community.
