Kendall's School of Culinary Arts has prepared outstanding culinary professionals for almost 25 years. In a recent survey of food editors and industry professionals, the School of Culinary Arts was ranked #1 in the Midwest and recognized as providing one of the top B.A. programs in the United States. Its bachelor's and associate degree programs are intensive, hands-on, and cutting-edge, utilizing 16 commercial grade kitchens, an exclusive onsite fine dining restaurant and an equally well-regarded cafeteria.
The programs are designed to successfully launch students’ careers in the vast foodservice industry, equipped with superb culinary skills and the equally critical business management and communication skills. Students intern locally, nationally and internationally at top-notch hospitality and culinary venues. Instructors have strong professional and academic credentials, formal culinary training and at least ten years of professional experience.
Accreditation
Kendall College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Kendall has maintained its accredited status since 1962. The academic degree programs have been approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
The AAS in Culinary Arts and the AAS in Baking and Pastry in the School of Culinary Arts are accredited programs, American Culinary Federation, Inc. Accrediting Commission.
The Early Childhood Education program in the School of Education is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education for Type 04 Illinois Teacher Certification (birth through grade 3).
