2008 Olympic Medal Count

Perhaps I have strayed a bit from my usual education based topics, but blogging about the Olympics is indeed educational. Sports are based around the fundamentals of motivation, strength, intelligence, strategy and endurance – many of the same qualities needed to succeed in school.

So now that I have defended my Olympic postings, here is a breakdown of all the Olympic medals that have been won so far.

2008 Olympic Medal Count

The U.S. has already had many world records broken in this year’s Olympics. Last night Michael Phelps made history as he won his ninth gold medal, becoming the fifth person in history to reach that tally.
