No, it’s not an education spin-off of America’s Next Top Model – it is a chance for one of our country’s youth to win the title of top scientist.
America’s Top Young Scientist will be selected by Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge. Students were asked to create a 1-2 minute video about one of this year’s scientific topics, which focus around the Science of Space and include: the Doppler Effect, Parabolic mirror, why is the sky blue?, a space craft’s orbital path, electrical currents and the Bernoulli Principle.
So far 10 finalists have been selected, as listed below with their entry video, in no particular order.
