Just so you know, when I wrote the title for this post, I was actually singing the McDonalds jingle. And I am not McKidding you.
Several days ago, I blogged about the GlobalScholar.com WASL initiative. Today, I am delighted to announce that GreatSchools.net is assisting us with this undertaking. How so? By helping us spread the word about the free WASL tutoring program to parents in Washington State.

Who is GreatSchools.net? My guess is that many of you, especially parents, are familiar with this terrific site. In addition to be the best place on the web to find out anything about local schools, the site also has a ton of RICH editorial content. Here's a link to their editorial library.
A few more things that will give you a better sense about GreatSchools:
1) Do a Google Search for the words "school information". GS is the first organic result for this term. Not bad for an independent nonprofit organization committed to helping parents.
2) Two weeks ago, the WSJ did a review on school directory sites. Link. Naturally, GS received a glowing review.
3) (beware; this one is a bit esoteric!) Yesterday, while bumming off at work and browsing the web instead of working, I read a post on TechCrunch regarding "the Google" offering secondary search boxes. IMO, secondary search is in a dead heat with Second Life in the race of "the geekiest thing ever conceived". Still, TC had this to say: The new service seems to be restricted to larger sites with a slant towards retails sites. Borders, BestBuy and OfficeMax offer the secondary box, as does a search for Wikipedia and The NY Times.
And what do you know? Secondary search is available on GreatSchools.net!

P.S. Does any realize the fact that GreatSchools.net and GlobalScholar.com both share the same initials: GS! How uncanny is that? If this does not make you believe in UFO's, I do not know what will. Btw, thanks Lisa for setting this up. And for being a mom and a staunch Hillary supporter whether or not you choose to admit it :-)
Don't forget to check out the top ten list.
