Summer Fun
July 21, 2008 – 10:32 am by Ben's MomSummer is such a great time to hang with your preschooler. Being outside gives them the freedom to run around and explore their environment - and learn! PreschoolMama is a great blog for caretakers of preschoolers, with lots of tips, advice and ideas. Recently, the Preschool Mama suggested you create a Preschool Activity Calendar. While I’m not quite that organized, and have enough calendars in my life, the activity list of suggestions is excellent. Some of my favorite activities are — going on a picnic, making an obstacle course in the yard, dancing to favorite tunes, and creating a workout you can do together (my son adds weight to my pelvic thrusts and enjoys “riding” mommy’s belly). Most of the activities suggested help with thinking and problem solving skills — so they are fun and helpful in preparing for preschool.
So get out there — and enjoy the summer sun with some preschooler fun!
