I attended St. Louis from 1982-1988, 7th-12th grade. St. Louis is an all-boys Catholic school and in that school I enjoyed access to many fine teachers as well as a level of tradition, respect, pride, service, and discipline that has served me well through the rest of my life. I feel fondness for Saint Louis and consider the Crusaders, the sports teams Mascot, a real touchstone for my youth. I think that all-boys schooling was good for me and I appreciate it. There are lots of things going on and quite a few sister schools around so there are girls. There is such pride surrounding the school and the demographic isn't exclusively "wealthy" or "professional" and there are a wide swath of students, parents, and families, as well as kids from abroad . Saint Louis shares its campus with Chaminade University and students are encouraged to take classes in the school, allowing students to not only accrue A-level placements but also collect college credit well before ever attending college. School sports, especially football, is world class and the Crusaders football team has dominated Hawaiian sports for years and years. When I graduated, I was accepted into schools such as Cornell and George Washington and when I arrived at University, I didn't feel ill-prepared at all. All in all, I had a very rich, memorable, and exceptional experience in the 6-years I attended Saint Louis School. I can easily recommend it.
