Well I am very disappointed in my first impressions of Illahee.  So far, they have failed to show any concern for student or parent.  We learned three days before school started that all first grade students who did not attend kindergarten there were to be placed together in one of the temporary classroom outside. This totally isolates these new kids vs. helping them mix in with other students. A new form of segregations?   At the orientation, the night before the first day we were told the class had a temporary teacher and a permanent teacher would not be selected for another week or two.  A great way to help these isolated new kids feel like they are in a stable environment.  I wonder if a school psychologist was consulted about these decisions.
