A PhD in Economics form Texas A&M University, Dew served as Senior Financial Economist at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, helping to develop the Standard and Poors 500 and Eurodollar Futures contracts. He was subsequently president of Manufacturers Hanover’s futures brokerage and manager of Manufacturers Hanover’s futures/swaps arbitrage desk. He has was new product consultant to COMEX (now part of the New York Mercantile Exchange) as well as consulting to several global financial institutions on the use of derivatives. He pursues research in emerging markets, asset pricing, bank innovation and regulation and corporate governance. He has taught most courses in the typical university finance curriculum but specializes in Corporate Finance, Derivative Instruments, Global Banking and Credit and Lending. His research interests are Issues in Global Banking, Bank Regulation and Emerging Markets.
