About Me:
I have been working with students since I was a freshman in high school. I worked as an afterschool tutor as part of a scholarship program during high school and tutored elementary school children in math, reading, writing, and science. Throughout college, I worked for test preparation companies including Kaplan and StudyPoint. I taught high school and college students in ACT, SAT, PSAT, SAT II, and MCAT preparation as well as subject preparation in math subjects through calculus and science subjects through college based physics, chemistry and biology, writing, and reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.
In addition to my tutoring experience, I have also authored two ACT test preparation booklets for Kaplan Publishing: Spotlight ACT and ACT Math and Science Workbook. I have an approach tailored to the individual student and adjust my teaching style based on the student's learning style and needs.
I am currently in medical school with an expected 2011 graduation. I intend to make teaching a part of my professional career in an academic medical setting because I enjoy working with students and helping them to understand difficult concepts and expand their knowledge.
