Hello! My name is Mary Ellen Bennett. I have been actively teaching for many years. I enjoy teaching, am hard working and dedicated to education and my students. It has always been my goal to be a teacher. I have a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree and Law Degree. As you can see, I believe strongly in education and continuing my education as well. I am certified to teach Social Studies and have taught in other subject areas as well. I have taught in the online environment for several years and feel very comfortable in the online environment. My philosophy of education is that there isn't any student who can't be taught, who can't learn and who can't succeed. Every student is a success waiting to happen. It is an honor and pleasure for me to be a part of that process. Education opens many doors of opportunity and I would like to share my knowledge and skills with my students to help them achieve their goals. As I teacher I will guide, assist, and encourage my students in addition to teaching them the material required. My goal is for my students to succeed not for me but for themselves! I also maintain a positive philosophy in my teaching. I praise a student’s strengths and identify weaknesses with the goal of improvement and success. As you can see, I am available to teach in many areas. I have always had a curious mind and enjoy learning new ideas and subject matter that I can incorporate into my teaching. I also have a strong work ethic and I am dedicated to the work at hand. I will not lose faith in a student. I will work with the student until he or she has met their goals successfully. Student success is my focus because I believe education continues beyond the time spent in the classroom. Education is vital to the success of our youth today. The career world is demanding and requires well educated students. It is my goal to help as many students as I can to learn new topics, sharpen their skills and achieve their career goals. In that sense, I will be following in the footsteps of my teachers, including my parents, who helped me achieve my goals with their energy, knowledge and support.
