Hello, I am Tara! I am excited to begin on a learning adventure with you. But first let me tell you why over 1000 people in my courses and workshops could help write my biography "I thought I showed up for class to daydream and actually learned something- Tara's Teachings Through Telling Tales" (known as associative learning). While attending Michigan State University 20 years ago, I was intrigued by the workings of the mind so I majored in Psychology and actually uncovered more secrets of memory and learning. I minored in Spanish and feel comfortable with Spanish I and II. I worked in Medical Sales for a long time and then decided to get my Post-Bac degree in Secondary Social Studies where I am certified to teach Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Civics, American History, World History, and Geography etc. up to the college level. As if that weren't enough, I decided to earn my MEd in Educational Leadership and Finance where I taught many Technology courses at Columbus State University and at the State of Georgia Department of Education Techology center for 4 years. The courses included all the basic computer skills, productivity programs, Office, internet, web design, multimedia design, and selected software. I added a job teaching High School Psychology, Economics, and US History for 2 years. Once again I moved on to the business world where I developed sales training workshops in all areas including time management, public speaking, negotiations, strategic selling, etc. I hired 250 sales reps and developed a strategy of best practices so I have offered workshops on career planning- from interviewing to resume writing. Finally, I earned an MBA certificate from Tulane University in Marketing and Business Administration.
