Rules and Regulations

  • Deadline for entries: December 10, 2009
  • Finalists for Young Achievers will be contacted in December, 2009
  • National Finals & Awards ceremony will be held in Mumbai in January, 2010
  • Only Indian Nationals currently residing in India can apply for the awards.
  • Only students between the ages 12 and 25 years can apply.
  • Students can apply in any one category. Evaluators will not consider applicants to multiple categories.
  • Finalists for the Young Achievers Award for the year 2007-08 are not eligible to participate this year.
  • Contest organizers reserve the right to accept or reject entries.
  • The decisions of the judges and evaluators will be final. No appeals will be considered.
  • Complete the form in your own handwriting. Please write legibly in English using ALL CAPITAL letters only.
  • Complete all sections of the entry form. Evaluators will not review incomplete forms.
  • Entry forms are not be returned, under any circumstances.
  • You can send additional documents to support your entry. Please attach to your entry form only photocopies (Xeroxes) of supporting documents, such as certificates, recommendation letters, newspaper clippings, and photographs. Do not include original documents. No supporting documents will be returned.
  • If you want to submit videos with your entry, submit only on CD. Make sure that you label the CD with your name, age, telephone number, and the award category. No CDs will be returned.
  • If you include supporting documents, include an index (table of contents) for the documents. As needed, make sure documents are properly numbered, and also grouped by level, for example, International, National, State & City, or Interschool Level.
  • Please bind together your entry form and any supporting documents (for example, by spiral binding). Evaluators can more-effectively review your entry and ensure nothing is overlooked or mislaid.
  • Hard copies of the entry forms sent only by post/courier will be accepted. Do not send a copy by e-mail.
  • Entry forms will not be returned under any circumstances.
